Antalya Airport to Side: bus, shuttle, taxi or private transfer
There is no direct bus from AYT to Side. What each option costs in 2026, the passenger count where each one wins, and why a booked transfer undercuts the taxi rank.

There is no direct bus from Antalya Airport to Side, which is the fact that decides this whole question. Side is about 65 km east of AYT, most of it on the fast D400 coastal road.
Four real ways to cover it, and the right one depends almost entirely on how many of you there are and what time you land.
The options in 2026
| Cost | Time | Notes | |
|---|---|---|---|
| Havaş shuttle + dolmuş | ~350–450 TL per person (≈ €6–8) | 2.5–3.5 h | Two changes, luggage on your lap |
| Shared shuttle, pre-booked | ~€12–21 per person | 1.5–2.5 h | Door to door, but other hotels first |
| Taxi from the rank | ~3,000–3,700 TL metered (≈ €54–66), or a flat €70–80 | 55–95 min | No booking needed, price varies |
| Private transfer, pre-booked | €45–78 per vehicle across the market; ours €60 for up to 5 | 55–95 min | Fixed, direct, door to door |
Lira figures checked 21 September 2026 at roughly 56 TL to the euro. The lira moves quickly, so treat the TL numbers as an order of magnitude rather than a quote. Euro prices are what the operators publish.
The arithmetic
A per-vehicle price and a per-person price are not comparable until you divide. Our minivan is €60 regardless of how many are in it, up to five:
| Passengers | Our cost each | Shared shuttle each | Cheaper |
|---|---|---|---|
| 1 | €60 | €12–21 | shuttle, easily |
| 2 | €30 | €12–21 | shuttle |
| 3 | €20 | €12–21 | roughly level |
| 4 | €15 | €12–21 | us, and it is direct |
| 5 | €12 | €12–21 | us |
Against a taxi the answer does not depend on numbers: €60 is below both the metered fare and the flat price drivers quote for Side.
So, plainly: one or two of you, travelling light and not in a hurry — take the bus or a shared shuttle and save real money. From about four people, or arriving at night, or with a pushchair and two big cases, the private minivan costs the same or less and gets you there an hour earlier.
Why a booked transfer is cheaper than the taxi rank
This is the part nobody explains, and it is not a trick.
A taxi at the airport rank drives you the 65 km to Side and then has a problem: it either drives back empty or sits waiting for a fare that may not come. Either way that lost leg is inside the price you pay.
A local operator does not have that problem. We have people going to the airport and people coming from it on the same road all day, so the vehicle that drops you in Side has a booked pickup on the way back. Nothing is deadheading. That is the whole reason the same journey in the same class of vehicle costs less when it is arranged in advance — not a discount, just an empty leg that does not exist.
The public route, honestly
Genuinely cheap and genuinely slow. Havaş runs a shuttle from the terminal into Antalya (about 220 TL, roughly 45 minutes). From Antalya otogar an intercity bus or dolmuş reaches Manavgat — 75 km, 90 to 120 minutes — and a local dolmuş covers the last 4 km into Side in ten minutes, running every few minutes in season.
Two changes, both with luggage, and the connections do not wait. Budget two and a half to three and a half hours, more if you land late when services thin out.
If you are one or two people with backpacks and a free afternoon, this is the right answer and nobody should talk you out of it.
What our transfer actually is

One minivan, flat €60, up to five passengers, picked up from your accommodation, free cancellation up to 24 hours before, and child seats on request — tell us the age when you book.
On arrivals we track your flight number, so the driver comes when the aircraft lands rather than when the timetable said it would. For the charter flights that reach AYT after midnight, that is the difference between a car waiting for you and a negotiation at the rank at 02:00.
It is not a per-person price and it does not scale: six or more people is a second vehicle, so €120. A group of ten does not travel for €60, and anyone who promises that is quoting a number they will revise later.
One thing to be straight about: the journey listed on our booking site is the Side to airport leg. We drive the arrival direction too, but it is arranged directly rather than booked from the tour page — send us your flight number and we will quote it.
Practical notes
Night arrivals. The dolmuş network effectively stops. This is the case where pre-booking earns its money regardless of how many of you there are.
Luggage. A minivan swallows five people’s cases. A dolmuş does not — you will stand with a suitcase between your knees for ninety minutes.
The way back. The return leg is the one genuinely worth booking ahead. On arrival you are tired but flexible; on departure you have a check-in time, and a fixed pickup at a fixed price removes the only stressful part of the last morning.
Checked on the ground
- Our transfer is one minivan at a flat 60 EUR for up to five passengers, with child seats on request and free cancellation up to 24 hours before. Six or more people means a second vehicle, so 120 EUR — the price does not stay at 60 for a group of ten. — Seven Tours, seen 21 September 2026
- On arrivals we track the flight number, so a delayed landing does not cost you the transfer and you are not charged waiting time for it. — Seven Tours, seen 21 September 2026
- A pre-booked transfer undercuts the taxi rank because we usually have a fare in both directions on the same road. A rank taxi has to price in driving the 65 km back empty or waiting for a return fare. — Seven Tours, seen 21 September 2026

Frequently asked questions
Is there a direct bus from Antalya Airport to Side?
No. There is no direct public service. The public route is the Havaş shuttle from the airport into Antalya, then a dolmuş or intercity bus to Manavgat, then a local dolmuş the last 4 km into Side — two changes, and two and a half to three and a half hours with waiting.
How much is a taxi from Antalya Airport to Side?
Antalya's 2026 meter is about 30 TL to start plus 36 TL a kilometre, which works out near 2,400 TL for the 65 km before traffic or waiting. Reported fares to Side run higher, roughly 3,000–3,700 TL, and drivers frequently offer a flat 70–80 EUR instead. Agree the basis — meter or flat — before you load the bags.
When does a private transfer actually beat the alternatives?
Against a taxi, always: 60 EUR for the vehicle is below both the metered fare and the flat price drivers quote. Against a shared shuttle it depends on numbers — at 12 to 21 EUR a head the shuttle is cheaper for one or two people, level at about four, and more expensive at five.
Do you provide child seats?
Yes, on request. Tell us the child's age when you book and the seat is in the vehicle when it arrives. Do not assume one is aboard by default — that is true of most operators here, not just us.
What happens if my flight is delayed?
On arrivals we track the flight number, so the driver comes when the aircraft actually lands rather than when it was scheduled to. A delay does not cost you the transfer and you are not billed waiting time for it.
How long does the journey take?
About 55 to 95 minutes for the 65 km, most of it on the fast D400. Side is one of the longer resort runs from AYT. A shared shuttle adds 30 to 60 minutes because it drops other hotels first; the public route adds two hours or more.
